‘Approach Togetherness’ investigates aspects of communal living and group activities, we set out to record household dynamics; house meetings, family meals and a vernacular language, gesture and humour emerging from close social contact within a group, which can become almost ritualistic and mystical. At times the construct collapses through our own self-consciousness and awareness of a misplaced nostalgia for 60s and 70s counterculture movements. Most of the filming was done around our communal living space and the footage includes both documentary and pseudo documentary elements.
